Origins

The inception of our company, Journey Media, is profoundly intertwined with the unquenchable wanderlust and enthusiasm for travel that our founder, Brett Hardy experienced in his early days of film and television production. Brett worked on location around the world making Feature films and US TV mini-series for networks such as ABC and CBS including Emmy-nominated series Buffalo Girls.  Brett has worked with noteworthy talent such as Eric Bana, Pierce Brosnan, Jackie Chan, Anjelica Huston and Melanie Griffith.

As an emerging producer, Brett consistently sought out exceptional experiences and undiscovered stories throughout his many adventures. These included exploring the wildlife on the plains of Laikipia in Kenya, journeying through the sub-cultures of the USA, and marvelling at the awe-inspiring relics and monuments of ancient China, Indonesia, Egypt and beyond.

Brett recognized the immense power of storytelling as a means of capturing the essence of his travels as he connected with people from all walks of life. Just as the world's most renowned explorers relied on their instincts and adaptability to navigate unfamiliar lands, Brett understood that creativity, insight, resourcefulness, and innovation were essential ingredients in crafting content that captivated audiences across the globe.

When the moment arrived to name his company, Brett chose a moniker that encapsulated the spirit of exploration, curiosity, and the unifying power of storytelling. Thus, Journey Media was conceived, its name inspired by the countless adventures that shaped Brett's personal and professional journey.
